Ancient Chinese civilization brought a grandiose contribution to our world. One of the biggest researchers and practitioners of the Taoist erotic methods, Mantak Chia, has succeeded in gathering these texts and offering them to the modern world. He speaks of the ‘’sexual Kung-Fu” methods that are more than 3000 years old.

Initially they were available only to the emperor and to few of  his close ones, being initiated by the Taoist masters who were at his court.

The method consisted of retaining the seminal fluid while love-making, an individual practice that allows man to have full control of his bodily fluids and to transform them into energy sources by retaining them and directing them to the upper vital centres.

The loss of vital energy can be prevented through controlling the sexual function, in other words by stopping the ejaculation process.

Woman is Water, man is Fire

One, however, must not mistake the cessation of ejaculation for the cessation of orgasm. The Taoist approach differs from the Tantric path particularly in the language used and the yogi methods applied for attaining the very same unity of mind, body and spirit.

Both systems fully embrace the idea of sexual control, not only as a possibility but a necessary tool for attaining supreme realisation, through the agency of the physical body. In order to be able to find equilibrium in amorous interactions, what you must know is that the nature of the woman is like water and has the power to balance the man, whose nature is fire.

At a more profound level we discover that man has not only the nature of fire but also water and he can achieve the perfect inner balance through harmonising the inner fire (that is thought) with inner water (seminal fluids).

The same applies for woman as well, and the methods to obtain interior clarity are presented in the Tai Chi and Qi Gong practices, along with practicing meditation and adopting a moral code in life.
